Brooke Finnerty is a multimedia creative graduating with a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in June 2025. She specializes in lifestyle beats with a focus in fashion, culture, and music. Her expereince includes writing, photography, website design, social media, and public relations. Brooke has carried her passion for telling stories and creating media since a young girl from writing in english class then rushing home after school to make youtube videos for her 20 subscribers.
She has gained valuble skills through courses and her involvement in organizations and brands such as University Fashion Group, UT Austin’s official fashion organization, where she led as a creative director and a two-term website director. Additionally, Brooke held social media roles where she spent two seasons working as an intern for Maggie Villamaria Studio and served on staff for the Daily Texan Newspaper. Last fall she began contibuting to the KVRX radio station blog including concert reviews and features.
Brooke values her four seasons volunteering at New York Fashion Week where she’s contributed to the success of several runway shows and watched her dreams become a reality. She’s worked alongside production teams and held PR roles, capturing live content for brand’s Instagram accounts behind-the-scenes and during shows. Following her last show at NYFW with The Modern Day Wife she joined their team as a PR and communications intern.
Brooke is eager to gain greater industry experience through collaborating with other creatives and immerse herself in a full-time role following her graduation in the summer.
