Tame Impala transformed Barclays Center into an ethereal space during his two hour set on November 1, 2025. For his fourth and final night in New York on the “Deadbeat” Tour, soloist Kevin Parker opened the show with the classic Lonerism track “Apocalypse Dreams.” As kaleidoscopic lights burst from the circular stage at the arena’s center, over 19,000 attendees were swept into a 23-song journey spanning nearly every era of his discography.
Parker delivered psych-rock cuts like “Elephant” and “Alter Ego,” weaving them seamlessly with synth-pop slow jams including “Yes I’m Changing” and “Feels Like We’re Only Going Backwards.” The 39-year-old Aussie occasionally spoke with the crowd, even announcing that his four-year-old daughter, Peach, was in the building and that he’s going to make it a special one! The energy peaked during some of his most anticipated songs, such as “Eventually” and “Let It Happen,” when confetti cannons erupted and blended into the vibrant lasers, sending the crowd into a dancing frenzy.
Around track 11, Parker exited the main stage while the screens humorously showed him taking a mid-show piss. He then re-entered on a smaller, lamp-lit side stage covered in synths and keyboards, where he mixed tracks from his new album live, giving fans a glimpse into his studio process.
Tame Impala rode waves of energy across the dynamic setlist—sometimes singing softly as he drifted around the stage, other times shredding his guitar and electrifying the room. He closed the evening with “End of Summer,” the debut track from his newly released fifth album. Parker’s authentic stage presence, raw vocals, and the mesmerizing light production fused into an otherworldly performance.
As the final notes faded, attendees slowly filed out of the venue, gathering stray confetti from empty seats as if capturing a tangible piece of the night’s memory.
